Actress’ Battle with Fibroids
UK actress Juanne Fuller (from Casualty and East Enders) found out that she has fibroids last year. She is faced with a horrifying choice. Have children now or never. Her only option given to her was a hysterectomy.
The article doesn’t give the impression she has looked into many of the non-invasive options that are available, which shows that more needs to be done to spread the word of the options that are out there!

my dr had me scheduled for a hysterectomy since my bleed ing was heavy, i opt out and got a uterine atery embolizatio. been pain free for 8 yrs and no problems, the y is another one done like a ultrasound for those who still want kids it takes 3 hrs under a ultrasound. by god all the women who could of had this done. my dr was mad cause i opt out and well i never went back to him..he woulnt even discuss this i found out by a pamphlet. he should of taken the time to tell him theres another way. shame on that dr!!!they get more money operating on u for hysterectomys.all about money!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It’s sad that your Doctor wouldn’t consider another option for you. I’m so glad you took your healthcare into your own hands and did what was best for you! Everyone needs all the options. That is why we strive to do what we do.
