Meet the newest member of the Fibroid Relief Team!
Fibroid Relief is excited to introduce a new member of Fibroid Relief, Tina Krall!
Tina will be taking over day-to-day management of the organization in the spring of this year, working closely with Joy Polefrone, who as Fibroid Relief’s Founder, will remain on as an adviser to the Organization.
Tina brings over 15 years nonprofit management and fundraising experience to her new position and has a particular interest in health care, having served in management positions at the American Cancer Society in the Washington, D.C. area. In addition, Tina has a particular interest in women’s issues and focuses her own philanthropic and volunteer efforts on helping women through her participation on the Board of Directors for the Shelter for Help in Emergency, a domestic violence prevention and outreach organization, in Charlottesville, Virginia.
Please join us at Fibroid Relief in welcoming Tina to our Team!

What about the people that don’t have health insurance and can’t get the help for fibroids?
Hi Joan,
There are a few options for those women who do not have health insurance and want help for their fibroids. The first place I would suggest you look is under our clinical trials page. If you are able to enroll in a clinical trial, then you may be able to get treatment at a reduced rate. (http://fibroidrelief.org/resources/participate-in-a-clinical-trial/)
Another option is to call the location that you would like to get treatment at and see what they recommend to you. You would be surprised as to how helpful they can be! You never know what options hospitals might have available to those who are unable to meet the costs of certain procedures.
Lastly, I have heard of something called Care Credit. I know of one woman who used it to pay for her treatment, and was then able to pay back the treatment over time at a rate that worked for her.
Please let us know if we can answer any other questions.
Best,
Jade
