There are a number of studies currently recruiting women who suffer from uterine fibroids. Studies range in cost, but many are free of charge or offer treatment at a reduced rate. Eligibility criteria will vary.

Also, researchers are currently recruiting patients for clinical trials on a new minimally invasive treatment that uses volumetric radiofrequency ablation to treat fibroids. Studies are being conducted in several states as well as Guatemala and Mexico. For more information, click here.

In Edinburgh, United Kingdom, a study is being conducted to investigate medical interventions aimed at the reduction of excessive menstrual bleeding and decrease in uterine/ fibroid volume.
In Taipai, Taiwan, researchers are holding a study on laparoscopic myomectomies.
In Ramat Gan, Israel, a study is being done to evaluate the effect of a daily dosage of vaginally administered mifepristone on reduction of uterine fibroid size and symptoms.
